Accepted Answer: Walter Roberson. Hi everybody? I would like to plot the eigenvalues of a matrix as follows: plot (eig (A)); This works, however does anybody know how I can include a break in the real axis so that the figure plots from -15 to -10 and -5 to 0 with respect to the real axis? Thank you in advance! Nicolas How could one break the x axis in the same figure (not the subplot function)? You can see an example in line graph in panel b in the following picture, one single row data have been split into three parts as well as the x axis. the question is how this plot can be achieved in matlab. The short names and long names are character vectors that specify one of eight predefined colors. The RGB triplet is a three-element row vector whose elements specify the intensities of the. Note: The MATLAB nyquist command does not provide an adequate representation for systems that have open-loop poles on the imaginary axis. Therefore, we suggest that you copy the nyquist1.m file as a new m-file. This m-file creates more accurate Nyquist plots, since it correctly deals with poles and zeros on the imaginary axis
